SY Multi-pass Distribution Valve is a special high-tech product combined with mechanical, electric, instrumental and hydro-integration, it is the key equipment of simulating moving bed molecular sieve absorption-separation unit. Its successful China-built research and production provide the preconditions and solid basis for applying the advanced simulating moving bed molecular sieve absorption-separation process. The valve consists of bottom head, rotor plate, top head, transmitting mechanism, driving mechanism, valve position indicator and display, hydraulic system and automatic control system. The bottom head has 24 process pipes which are separately in connection with 24 beds of absorption tower. There are 7 concentric channels on top head and 7 streams over cross pipes on rotor plate, 7 stream pipes on top head shall be connected with 24 process pipes to distribute streams as per process flow. When the hydraulic system moves the rotor plate anticlockwise step by step, this valve can input and output the streams to and from the beds of absorption tower continuously, the valve will rotate step by step at regular intervals as per fixed time when the automatic control system gives the commands out to make the whole absorption-separation unit in operation continuously and produce highly pure streams products.

Functions and Characteristics

Molecular sieve absorption-separation process differs in fixed beds, moving beds and simulating moving beds. The fixed beds means the input and output ports of molecular sieve are not moving, its weakness is interval operation, the use rate of the molecular sieve is very low; moving beds means the input and output ports of the streams are fixed, the molecular sieve is moving from upper to downward, its merit is the use rate of the molecular sieve is very high with highly pure and highly produced product. But its fatally weakness is its operation is extremely not easy and cannot be realized in industrial usage. The 24-way rotary valve can use the fixed beds equipment to switch the stream input and output ports continuously and regularly to make the molecular sieve absorption-separation unit to realize advanced simulating moving bed absorption-separation process with easy automatic operation and reliable operation, it cannot be replaced by any other valves.
