The swing check valve, also known as one-way valve or non-return valve, its effect is to prevent medium backflow in the line. The valve that is opened or closed itself by the medium flow and force to prevent the backflow of the medium is called the check valve. Check valve belongs to automatic valve class, mainly used for directional flow of medium pipeline, only allow medium to flow in one direction to prevent accidents. These valves shall generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.
This valve controls the opening and closing valve by turning the plate around a pivot above the valve seat. Open and close the valve by thrust from spontaneous flow of medium in the pipe.

The dual plate check valve is also a swing type check valve, but it has double discs, D-shaped disc with two spring-bearing, which is placed on the bar shaft across the valve bore and closed by the spring. Due to the spring load, this valve reacts very quickly to the backflow. This structure reduces the distance from which the valve center of gravity moves and reduces the valve weight. The valve is simple, small and light weight.
