Product Details
Butterfly valve is one of obstructing valves to connect or block the medium in the pipeline, it can also adjust the flow of medium in the pipeline. Its closing element (disc) is in the shape of disc that can revolve the axis itself to block the medium in the pipeline or adjust the flow.
Soft seal bi-direction butterfly valve is a double eccentric butterfly valve, also known as a high-performance butterfly valve. The effect of double eccentricity makes the plate can quickly leave the valve seat after opening, greatly eliminate the unnecessary excessive extrusion and scraping phenomenon of the plate and the valve seat, it reduces the opening resistance distance, reduces the wear, and improve the life of the valve seat.
Structure

Butterfly valve mainly consists of body, disc, stem, seat, sealing ring, gland packing and wrench (or actuator with handwheel) etc., please see the following figure of butterfly valve construction. Butterfly valve has 2 types of connection: flanged and wafer, body of wafer type valve is normally with lugs so as to be concentric with the machining flange of the pipeline.
Performance Characteristics
1.Has isobaric bi-directional sealing performance, reliable sealing performance;
2.Small face-to-face dimension Among all kinds of valves, butterfly valve has the smallest Face-to-Face dimension, especially the wafer type butterfly valve’s face-to-face dimension is far smaller than nominal dimensions
3.Use semi-axial structure with large cross flow area and small flow resistance;
4.Use double eccentric structure, the valve body sealing surface is completely detached from the valve plate sealing surface after opening, no friction, long life cycle;
5.According to the requirement of the client, seating rubber seals may be optionally mounted on body or disc;
6.Open and close is quick and convenient with smaller force
The disc rotates 90 o that can open and close the valve because the medium force against each side of disc is almost equal and the resulted direction of torque is reverse, so the on-off torque is mainly decided by the abrasion torque of sealing surface.
7.Good regulating performance
By changing the rotation angel of the disc, the valve can classify regulating the flow of medium in the pipeline, opening indicator and limiting device are located on top of the butterfly valve.
8.Simple structure, small size, light weight, suitable for big size valve.
9.Horizontal mounting manual valve has bi-directional display function, the opening state of the valve can be observed synchronously from the operating surface and side.
Applicable Medium
Widely used in water supply and drainage, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, urban construction and other industrial pipelines to cut off, connect and regulate the use of medium.
