The floating ball valve as an on/off control unit, its ball is floating, a floating ball is supported by two valve seats, under the medium force, the ball moves (floats) downstream of the fluid to maintain a close contact with downstream seat to achieve a reliable seal. The seat special design has the wearing complementary structure to ensure safe reliable sealing and long stable operation of this series of ball valve.
Performance Characteristics
1.Small flow-resistance
Of the various valves, the ball valves have minimal flow resistance. There are generally two structures: reduced bore and full bore, no matter which structure, its flow resistance coefficient is relatively small. In particular, the full bore valve, when the full bore valve is opened, the ball channel, valve body channel and connection pipe diameter are of equal diameter and form a straight channel, the medium can flow almost without loss.
2.Opening/closing is convenient and fast, and more labor-save
Compared with other types of valves, the ball valve only needs to turn the ball (opening part) by 90°, which can achieve opening and closing, very convenient, fast, and more labor-saving.
3.Good Sealing
The valve seat is made of carbon graphite, PTFE, nylon and other elastic materials, with good sealing, good lubricity, less wear with ball, and long service life.
4.Long life cycle
Due to the good lubrication of PTFE, the friction and wear with the ball is small, thus improving the service life of the ball valve
5.High reliability
The reliability of the ball valve is mainly due to:
a)The ball and valve seat seals will not occur abrasion, sharp wear and other faults;
b)The valve stem is internally mounted, which eliminates the accident hidden danger that the valve stem may fly out under the fluid pressure due to the release of the gland packing;
6.The channel in the valve is smooth, more suitable for the delivery of viscous liquid, slurry and solid particles.
7.Full bore or reduced bore design;
8.Fire-safe design in compliance with API 607/API6FA standard;
9.Casting or forging body;
10.Anti-static design in compliance with API6D standard;
11.Floating ball, anti-blowout stem, several-layer sealing of stem;
12.Seat self-pressure relief structure to ensure the cavity will not have an abnormal pressure rise. Cavity self-relief under overpressure
